# Justification
Justification arises due to the fact that we want to rely on our [Knowledge](Knowledge.md). Therefore, wherever our knowledge comes from must be reliable too.
But **Justified True Belief** *does not exist*. How do we then justify theories?
Inductivism attempts to justify predictions as likely to hold in the future. [Problem Solving](Problem%20Solving%20Process.md) justifies an explanation as being better than other explanations available in the present. Notice how this entirely avoids the inherent problem of inductivism. We are not saying the explanation is perfectly "true" or will "hold forever". We are saying that it simply better than all other existing explanations at this point in time. We have arrived at that position through criticism (one type of which is a [experimental test](Science%20is%20Problem%20Solving.md)).
[Argument Is How We Achieve Justification](Argument%20Is%20How%20We%20Achieve%20Justification.md). According to [Problem Driven Epistemology](Problem%20Driven%20Epistemology.md), [Explanations Are Justified By Their Superior Ability to Solve Problems They Address](Explanations%20Are%20Justified%20By%20Their%20Superior%20Ability%20to%20Solve%20Problems%20They%20Address.md). This was introduced via Popper in his [Problem](Problem.md) oriented [Epistemology](Epistemology.md).
